Tumbling around the web in a big mess. Picking up and dropping off bits and pieces with no clear goal, just spending a bit of time looking at stuff I like.
What do I like? Visual stuff mostly, photos and videos, a bit of music and interesting thoughts. When I say interesting, I mean interesting to me. You might be extremely bored by the whole thing, but I don't really care, because this isn't for you. It's for me.
Check out this film from ABC Open featuring the Aurora Australis and the photographer, Francois Fourie, who chases them. It’s very purdy.
Tiny houses! And a giant teapot! Such a cute story about some mad old men.
Golly gosh. I do love the trick of light painting. And there are some really spectacular examples on ABC Open.

This is a great little video following two amateur photographers getting a master class from Nick Moir on Kangaroo Island.
Makes me want to visit the island and/or get out my camera and take more photos.
I’ll probably do neither, as I’m lazy.
These Now and Then photos of Salamanca around where the Arts Centre is are very well done and really interesting. Check out the whole set on ABC Open Southern Tasmania’s flickr.

Tips on filming a moving object. Really nice footage of a moving train through the Australian desert and some practical things to think of if you want to film anything moving.
At 11 minutes past 11 o’clock on 11.11.11, this is what I was doing. Taking this photo (I’m not in it). Why? Why not? Also, it was for a national time capture project, just for the fun of it.
